No job is too big for our bespoke team.
We can mass produce concrete units for any construction project or produce individual one-off components for smaller jobs.
Some of the industries we have worked in include:
In September 2015 Poundfield announced that we had been awarded our largest ever contract with a £2m order for decorative, reinforced concrete panels from County Durham based Hall Construction Services.
The order was to manufacture thousands of individual pieces that would be used to construct over 2 km of a new Coastal Protection scheme at Hartlepool Headland. A project which was scheduled to take some 5 years to complete.
Our bespoke division has recently manufactured a set of 275 reinforced concrete blocks to support an array of large solar panels.
The order was placed by one of our regular customers, Travis Perkins, on behalf of Lark Energy – a Lincolnshire based provider of commercial and utility scale energy systems with a particular expertise in large solar farms and other renewable energy solutions.
Our role in this prestigious and vital project was to manufacture and deliver 64 capping beams and 112 slipway planks to the home of the Shoreham Sailing Club. The planks required an exposed aggregate finish on the surface along with drainage channels.
For over a hundred years, Roker Pier & Lighthouse has protected the entrance into the city of Sunderland’s harbour. As part of the Pier’s refurbishment, we were selected by Hall Construction Services Ltd to supply specially manufactured pieces for a new building at the entrance to the tunnel that provides safe access under the Pier to the lighthouse for visitors during bad weather.
47 differently painted sculptures of the children’s character Elmer the Patchwork Elephant will sit upon the plinths in locations throughout Ipswich between June and September this year.
In 2017, our bespoke products team, led by director Tim Evans, was commissioned to deliver 2000 bespoke sea defence wall panels to support the rebuilding of the Central Lower Promenade in Whitley Bay, as part of North Tyneside Council’s £36m Seafront Master Plan.
Poundfield’s Bespoke division has produced 65 cross beams, each of which is mounted onto footings constructed alongside the rail tracks. Onto these a Block and Beam flooring system is then laid – this consists of a total of nearly 1,000 beams – cut to various lengths of up to 4 metres.
A new concept for the rapid construction of cattle grids in the New Forest has been developed by Hampshire County Council to minimise road closure times, particularly when long diversions are involved.
Our experienced sales team is always on hand to help and advise you on the features and benefits of all of our bespoke concrete products. We would be more than happy to help you discuss the wide variety of options on offer.Contact us
