Every construction project is different, which is why we established our bespoke concrete division back in 2009. Working directly with the client, or in partnership with other companies, we specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of precast concrete units, which are custom made to your specification.
With a dedicated design team and mould manufacturing facilities on-site, we are able to produce a wide range of precast concrete components that are completely bespoke to your construction project.
We can mass produce concrete units for any construction project or produce individual one-off components for smaller jobs.
Examples of bespoke precast components we have created include: precast concrete slabs for multi-storey car parks, wall panels for sea defence schemes, concrete stairs and seating for civil regeneration projects, concrete units and copings for the rail industry and plinths for charity trails.
Canewdon blocks are used to support and protect riverside and coastal embankment slopes, and are designed specifically to absorb wave energy to protect the land. At Hullbridge, on the tidal estuary of the River Crouch in Essex, an area of revetments were in need of replacement in an area classified by the Environment Agency as being at significant risk of flooding.Find out more
The Brixton Road rail arches carry the Atlantic (ATL) and Catford lines (CAT) between Denmark Hill and Brixton Stations. Annual Network Rail inspections of arch 276 identified the ATL end of the structure as being under strength and a temporary speed restriction was introduced. The Network Rail remedial works were scheduled for Autumn/Winter 2020 and Dyer and Butler were appointed Principal Contractor to undertake the works.Find out more
The iconic Grade 1 listed Menai Suspension Bridge is the second oldest operational vehicular suspension bridge in the world. We recently supplied precast footway panels as part of the Spencer Groups refurbishment project. The project went on to win the Bridges Management Award at the Bridge design and engineering Awards where the judges commented on the quality of finish to the panels.Find out more
Our bespoke products team was commissioned to deliver 2,000 bespoke sea defence wall panels to support the rebuilding of the Central Lower Promenade in Whitley Bay, as part of North Tyneside Council’s £36m Seafront Master Plan.Find out more
Lime Wood Free School is due to open its doors in 2022 when it will provide state-of-the-art education facilities for 630 children. Poundfield Precast manufactured 83 exterior ring beams for both the ground and first floor on both the internal and exterior faces of the school. In total over 400 tonnes of concrete was used to produce the precast units.Find out more
As part of the £31 million, Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme, we manufactured and delivered 64 capping beams and 112 slipway planks to the home of the Shoreham Sailing Club. The planks required an exposed aggregate finish on the surface along with drainage channels.Find out more
Our bespoke concrete division produced 65 cross beams, each of which was mounted onto footings constructed alongside the rail tracks. Onto these a Block and Beam flooring system was then laid – this consisted of a total of nearly 1,000 beams – cut to various lengths of up to 4 metres.Find out more
For over a hundred years, Roker Pier & Lighthouse has protected the entrance into the city of Sunderland’s harbour. As part of the Pier’s refurbishment, we were selected by Hall Construction Services Ltd to supply specially manufactured pieces for a new building at the entrance to the tunnel that provides safe access under the Pier to the lighthouse for visitors during bad weather.Find out more
