Poundfield does the double at the Chelsea Flower Show

We’ve played a pivotal role in two stunning displays at last week’s prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show – one of which was awarded a gold medal.

18 of our L-blocs were used for the second year on the Welcome to Yorkshire Garden, designed by Landform Consultants, an award-winning company creating high-quality gardens and landscapes.

The L-blocs made an elevated platform allowing Landform to construct a display that gave the impression of a hillside to set the rest of the garden into perspective.

The Welcome to Yorkshire Garden won both a judges’ gold medal and was voted as the people’s choice out of all the main show gardens in a BBC poll.

Mark Gregory, managing director of Landform Consultants said “Poundfield’s L-blocs have proven their worth to us in so many ways. Firstly, the ability to re-use them is a massive plus for us in keeping our costs down.

“Secondly, we are always up against it in terms of the time we’ve got to pull together our display. The bespoke nature of Poundfield’s L-blocs, backed up by their great customer service, meant that we were able to sort this part out really quickly – and really securely.

“Finally, because the displays are cheek-by-jowl with each, some months ago we were able to advise our neighbour producing the African Savannah display that using Poundfield’s L-blocs would both help them with their theme and ensure that together we produce a safe and secure boundary between the two. The result was perfect for both of us”
