Apprentices make their mark within Poundfield

We’ve been offering apprenticeships to help young people get into our industry for several years. At the moment, we have four apprentices, and we have been really pleased to see them grow in confidence, and as individuals, and to see them benefit our business.

Izzy (left) is in our Planning and Procurement department and is currently doing a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

Rhys (second from left) is in our Retaining Walls Department. Rhys is doing a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

Jake (second from right) has spent time in many of our departments in order to build a broad knowledge of all aspects of the business. He is in his second year and is completing a Higher-Level Apprenticeship as a Level 5 Mineral Products Technician.

Hannah (right) is based in our HR team and is studying a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.

Commenting on the success of the apprenticeship programme, Jackie Bickers, our HR Coordinator, said ”Our apprentices have been a huge success and are developing extremely well and learning many new skills. Seeing our apprentices motivated to learn, develop new skills, and gain confidence in their roles has been very rewarding. They have all brought new ideas and perspectives to the business which helps us improve the quality of our services.”
