Golf Day

Poundfield Precast of Ipswich, the UK’s leading manufacturer of concrete retaining wall systems, recently held its second annual charity golf day.

This year the chosen charity was the SMA Trust which is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal muscular atrophy – the UK’s number one genetic killer of children under two years old.

A total of 15 teams of four players took to the fairways and greens of Hintlesham Hall Golf Club on September 21st and raised the fantastic sum of £3000. This figure was achieved with the help of an after-supper auction which the participants supported with great enthusiasm.

Commenting on the event, Poundfield’s managing director Mark Jardine said: “Despite the somewhat inclement weather, spirits were high on the day and everybody enjoyed their time out on the course and I was delighted to be able to present the proceeds to such a worthwhile cause.”
