Poundfield Precast And Barham Athletic Football Club Under 9's

Poundfield Precast recently bought new goals for Barham Athletic Football Club Under 9’s to help support the newly established team. Up until now, the team, which was started in the summer of 2017, were making use of very old goal posts and nets which had seen better days and needed a lot of maintenance.

Paul Sheppard, Production Manager for Poundfield Precast stepped in to donate the goals for them. “We’re a local company, and myself along with other members of staff live in and around Claydon so when we heard about the state of the goals we were delighted to help.

“The setting up of a new youth team provides a great opportunity for youngsters to keep fit and take part in team sports but it also relies on support from friends, families, volunteers and sponsors in order to succeed.”

Gareth Hayler, manager of the team said: “it’s made a big difference to the team and has spurred them on to progress really well since starting”.

Based on their recent track record the youth team aren’t letting many goals get past them but the opposition end has seen a lot more action with many winning performances from the young Barham team.
