£7,800 raised with our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Day

Poundfield Precast Ltd, Ipswich held its 3rd Annual Charity Golf Day on Friday 14^th October.

The day started with refreshments and some great entertainment from Kevin Carpenter with his Golf Tricks show before the 15 teams took to the course at Hintlesham Hall Golf Club. We were delighted with the support received from a number of women golfers this year who made up 4 teams.

In the evening we awarded trophies and prizes and held an after supper auction which always goes down well.

Mark Jardine; Poundfield’s MD said about the day:  ‘This year the weather was kind to us and the scoring was generally very good – we chose the J’s Hospice in Chelmsford as our Charity this year.

The J’s provides care for young adults with life limiting conditions and has played a big part in a good friend of mine’s life caring for his son. This year we raised over £3,500 for what is a great place which relies heavily on this kind of fundraising just to keep going.’

UPDATE: As the money was donated through The Big Give the total was doubled and a total of £7875 was actually raised.
