Manufactured by Street Crane, a globally respected specialist in lifting equipment, the crane forms part of an ongoing, long-term investment plan designed to support our expanding project portfolio.
Over the last few years, we have experienced substantial business growth, driven by increasing demand for high-quality precast concrete solutions across a wide range of sectors. As project size and complexity have increased, so too has the need for enhanced lifting and handling capability.
The new 30t gantry crane allows our team to safely and efficiently manufacture and manoeuvre larger precast elements, providing greater flexibility within production and enabling the business to confidently deliver on more demanding specifications. The crane also provides a safer working environment by reducing the movement of lift trucks on site.
Key benefits include:

Commenting on the installation, Tim Capey, General Manager at Poundfield Precast, said:
“This crane is a key part of our ongoing investment programme, which is directly linked to the success we’ve had in winning larger projects. As the business has grown, we’ve continued to invest in both our facilities and our people, ensuring we have the right equipment, skills and capacity in place to meet increasing demand.”
Street Crane’s reputation for engineering excellence made them a natural partner for this upgrade. The 30-tonne overhead gantry crane delivers smooth, precise lifting control and provides a safe and reliable solution for handling heavy precast components. The crane spans 18 metres in width and 38 metres in length.
The installation of the new crane is another milestone in our growth journey. By continuing to invest in infrastructure and people, the business is well-positioned to support clients on increasingly large and technically challenging projects, both now and in the years ahead.
