Over the years, one of the most rewarding partnerships we’ve been part of has been the Wild in Art fundraising trails – vibrant, creative events that have captured the imagination of Ipswich and beyond, all in support of St Elizabeth Hospice.
Each trail transforms the town into an open-air art gallery, with large, beautifully decorated sculptures designed by local artists, schools, and community groups. From pigs to elephants, owls to this year’s charming hares, the sculptures have delighted residents and visitors alike, each one telling its own unique story.
Behind the scenes, we’ve had the privilege of playing a small but vital role in making these displays possible. At Poundfield, we’ve manufactured the concrete plinths that each sculpture proudly sits upon, providing the strong and stable base that allows these wonderful works of art to take centre stage.
When the trails come to an end, the sculptures are auctioned off, raising much-needed funds for St Elizabeth Hospice. The money helps the charity continue its incredible work, providing specialist care and support for people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses.
Over the years, the Wild in Art trails have raised over £1 million for the hospice – an outstanding achievement that reflects the generosity and community spirit of everyone involved. This year’s event alone brought in more than a quarter of a million pounds, a testament to the continued passion and creativity of Ipswich residents, local businesses, and the hospice team.
We’re honoured to have played our part in supporting such a meaningful initiative, one that celebrates art, brings joy to the community, and most importantly, helps fund the compassionate care that St Elizabeth Hospice provides to so many.
We look forward to seeing what future Wild in Art trails will bring and remain committed to supporting the hospice in its mission to continue delivering exceptional care across our region.
