Benefits of precast concrete EV charger bases and slabs

When pouring concrete in situ, installing public charging stations can be a time-consuming, labour-intensive process with a high degree of waste. With precast concrete, the speed at which charging stations can be constructed can be significantly reduced. Manufactured off-site using a bespoke steel mould, we can produce multiple charging and canopy foundation bases to the same design and specification, ensuring uniformity and quality regardless of the number of units required.

Engineered to be strong and durable, they provide a stable foundation for the chargers and charger station canopies to be mounted upon. Unlike traditional charging stations, which are often affixed to metal stands, our robust charging bases can withstand potential impacts, which is vital in busy areas where chargers are in constant use. Fastned

We have worked with Fastned for over 3 years and have supplied over 25 sites throughout the UK and Eire with both bases for chargers as well as foundations for charger station canopies. We have manufactured various different sizes of units, which vary in weight from 0.55 to 7.5 tonnes. We work closely with their design team to create solutions totally bespoke to their requirements and carry out site visits as and when required.
