The art trail is being hosted in Ipswich as well as Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Beccles and Lowestoft and will take place between 21st June and 29th August 2025.
The hare we are sponsoring is inspired by the rich maritime history of Ipswich, and will be an eye-catching attraction on the trail.
We recently met up with the very talented Donna Newman who is painting our hare, to see how she was getting along. Donna is originally from Ipswich and has come back to stay with family whilst she is creating her artwork for the 2025 Art Trail.
A fine Art graduate from Coventry University, she is a self-proclaimed addict of public art trails. She has worked closely with Wild in Art on over 100 sculpture commissions, helping to raise over £400,000 for charities through their sales. Working with schools across the Midlands, Donna seeks to inspire young people by transforming their learning environments with her vibrant artwork.
Donna said “Having worked on numerous public art trails, I never get tired of the excitement that they bring. I love being part of projects which make art so accessible while also raising much-needed funds and awareness for charitable causes. They have become a hugely rewarding part of my career.”
Donna’s design is delightful, and it was great to see the character of the sculpture coming alive. You’ll have to wait until the trail goes live later in the year before you can meet our hare as we can’t spoil the surprise, but it’s well worth waiting for.
