Although we have always had formal systems in place, we were pleased to achieve certification from WCS recently in recognition of our management system which complies with ISO9001:2015. The certification from WCS covers our main site in Suffolk, but also our additional production facility at Llay, near Wrexham in North Wales.
In order to get the best from this process its essential that we have buy in from all parts of the business and it involved a great team effort from the whole team. We used the process as an opportunity to continually refine and improve our processes, which ultimately benefits our staff, customers and suppliers.
At the same time we have also achieved SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) with Acclaim. The accreditation helps inform our clients that we have met stage one health and safety requirements which is now required by a large proportion of our buyers.
Health and safety is the backbone of our business and this accreditation is just part of our overall plan to raise our standards where ever possible.
We have further plans in place for additional certifications and hope to report on these later on in the year.
