L-Blocs used behind a winning garden at the Chelsea Flower Show

Poundfield Precast Ltd are proud to have been at the heart of a major gardening event that took place in London last month.

The company’s precast concrete L-blocs were used at the iconic Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show – on the Welcome to Yorkshire Garden; created by Leeds based garden designer Tracy Foster.

Poundfield Precast were contracted to supply 18 of the L-blocs to Landform Consultants, an award-winning company that creates high quality gardens and landscapes. The L-blocs were used to make an elevated platform to display key aspects of the garden, including a scale model of a ruined abbey, allowing the thousands of visitors to enjoy the resulting spectacle.

Mark Gregory, managing director of Landform Consultants said “we’d previously used Poundfield’s L-blocs at the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show and so we knew both that they were the right solution for this particular project and that the company is one we can rely upon in terms of delivery and customer service.”

Jane Aldous, sales manager at Poundfield Precast, attended the show and observed “obviously, I had a lovely time looking at all of the brilliant creativity and imagination on display, but I was also really proud in the knowledge that our L-blocs were playing an important part in allowing Landform Consultants to effectively showcase their company’s specific focus on high quality and innovative garden production.”

According to Matt Moss, commercial director at Poundfield Precast, “it’s certainly been a ‘capital’ week for us. Not only is this project a high-profiled shop window which allowed us to demonstrate both what we manufacture and the quality of what we manufacture, it has also shown how Poundfield’s successful diversification strategy is being rolled out into new market sectors.”
