Condemned play area regenerated with new equipment

A previously condemned play area in the Suffolk village of Creeting St Mary has been given a new lease of life. The official opening of Blacksmith’s Field on Sunday 17th July was attended by Poundfield directors Mark Jardine and Matt Moss.

At the event Rob Brittain, the lead on this project, explained that Poundfield Precast were the first business to donate funds to this project and that they were the catalyst for the other local businesses to get involved. With local fundraising and donations from Poundfield and the other businesses the moneys raised were then match funded by the lottery fund which enabled the purchase of the much needed play equipment – already being enjoyed by local children.

Poundfield Precast, who are based just outside the village, were delighted to be involved in this project and are always happy to get involved in supporting projects in the local community.

A plaque showing all the sponsors was unveiled at the event.
