Another succesful RWM exhibition for poundfield products

Poundfield Precast of Ipswich in Suffolk celebrated its 10th attendance at the recent RWM Exhibition, held annually at the NEC near Birmingham, by displaying a selection of its precast concrete retaining wall products for the very first time.
RWM is Europe’s premier event dedicated to resource efficiency and waste management solutions and at previous shows Poundfield had relied on a photographic based display of its installations around the UK. However, with a much larger space totalling 48 sq m this year, it was possible to show examples of most of the company’s products, with heights of up to 4.6 m, and hence make a much greater impact to attract visitors to the stand.
Commenting on the 2014 show, Poundfield’s sales and marketing director Rory Faulkner said: “The RWM Exhibition is an important part of our marketing communications strategy. This year we decided to take a different approach by exhibiting a selection of our retaining wall units which were very well received by both existing and prospective customers.”

Canvey Island Southern Shoreline Revetment Project
We provided over 1,000 individually reinforced low-carbon precast concrete steps which were manufactured in steel moulds. The units were made using approximately 235m3 of Cemfree Rapid from DB Group Ltd, an alkali-activated cementitious material (AACM) which has 85% lower embodied carbon than 100% OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) concrete.
