retaining wall system

In August 2014 Poundfield Precast were engaged to supply and install the Alfabloc retaining wall system for The Landscape Group. The project was part of a recently secured contract with Warwick District Council to establish and operate a small scale composting facility which would see green waste from the grounds maintenance operations shredded, turned and screened to produce a range of materials for going back onto shrub beds as mulch, newly landscaped sites as soil improver and possibly even as top dressing on sports fields.

Simplicity and flexibility were the key ingredients for this green waste project, which was achieved by the Alfabloc system. Once the concrete pad for site was down the very quick and simple installation design of this retaining wall system allowed for a simple set of storage bays to be created. The bays can be easily varied in size according to seasonal requirements and with the addition of further mini Alfabloc create more storage for specific materials.

Our installation team embarked on a journey from Suffolk to Warwickshire to carry out a complete installation service. The site which started with bare concrete was a fully functional composting facility within 36 hours.
