In May 2014 Poundfield Precast were awarded the CE mark accreditation for our retaining wall and flooring products in respect of:
EN 15258:2008 – Precast concrete products. Retaining wall elements
EN 15037-1:2005 – Precast concrete products. Beam and block floor systems
EN 14992:2007 – Precast concrete products. Wall elements
We pride ourselves on producing high quality concrete products which we can stand by and know that they are capable of the designed purpose.
This was a great achievement and recognition of the quality mission ‘Precast to be Proud of’, which is embedded in the culture of the business. We strive for continuous improvement and believe there are substantial benefits to be gained from a strong culture of quality.

Canvey Island Southern Shoreline Revetment Project
We provided over 1,000 individually reinforced low-carbon precast concrete steps which were manufactured in steel moulds. The units were made using approximately 235m3 of Cemfree Rapid from DB Group Ltd, an alkali-activated cementitious material (AACM) which has 85% lower embodied carbon than 100% OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) concrete.
