Precast Concrete Charity Golf Day

Poundfield Precast of Creeting St. Peter recently organised its very first charity golf match at Hintelsham Hall near Ipswich which not only attracted eleven teams of four players but also a trio of sports personalities, namely Derek Pringle, Matt Holland and Simon Milton.

The day started with bacon rolls and coffee in the clubhouse before play began at 1pm prompt. After a full round of 18 holes in glorious Suffolk sunshine, the players returned to the clubhouse, firstly to enjoy a demonstration by Kevin Carpenter – one of the UK’s top trick shot experts – followed by a supper, auction and prize giving ceremony.

Commenting on the day, Poundfield’s managing director Mark Jardine said: “I am delighted to report that the day raised a total of £2,145 for our chosen charity, St. Nicholas Hospice in Bury St. Edmunds, as part of the accumulator challenge, thanks to the generosity of all the competitors and the expertise of our guest auctioneer, Peter Over, who did a fantastic job encouraging everyone to dig deep in their pockets to win the many superb donated auction lots.”
